Abstract
The following cupric complexes of ethylenediamine (En) and the thioamidic ligands 2-thiohydantoin (TID), thiourea (Tu), N-methyl-thiourea (MeTu), N,N'-dimethyl-thiourea (Me2Tu) and ethylene-thiourea (EnTu) were isolated: CuX2. 2En. 2L (X=Cl, Br; L=TID, Tu, EnTu), CuClBr. 2En. 2TID, CuCl2. 2En.L (L=MeTu, Me2Tu), Cu(NO3)2. 2En. 2TID,2CuBr2. 3En. 2MeTu and 9CuBr2. 16En. 5Me2Tu. 5H2O. The compounds have normal magnetic moments and υUCuN and υUCuS bands.
