Eco cartographyc diagnosis of intracardiac tumors in childrenCardiac tumors are rare in infancy and childhood.This report describes seven cases of intracardiac tumors diagnosed through two dimensional echocardiography.In one case diagnosis was suspected in "utero" by obstetric echography.In the other, the first clinical manifestations were murmurs and arrythmias.Most tumors were intramiocardial, more commonly placed in the ventricular septum.In one case the tumor was pedunculated and caused discrete obstruction of the outflow tract of the right ventricle.All patients have had very good clinical courses and surgical procedures have not been necessary.Two dimensional echocardiography is an extremely useful technique for diagnosis and follow up of cardiac tumors in infants.
