Abstract
Observations of fish growth in polyculture ponds suggest that fertilization of pond water by the excreta of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) may enhance the growth of the indigenous Indian carps catla (Catla catla), rohu (Labeo rohita), and mrigal (Cirrhinus mrigala) to about the same extent as fertilization by the addition of manure.
