Abstract
We have proposed, experimentally demonstrated, and implemented a technique for producing a new photostimulated blue-green phosphor with increased photostimulated luminescence intensity via additional doping of the Sr 4 Al 14 O 25 :Eu,Tm phosphor with La 3+ . The photostimulated phosphor (FV-490M) has been commercialized and is used most widely in security and authentication applications, both as an individual phosphor and in combination with the photostimulated red phosphor SrS:Eu,Sm. When IR-stimulated, the combination phosphor exhibits a dynamic visual kinetic effect.
