Abstract
We derive for Josephson’s equation [∂2/∂x2 +∂2/∂y2−∂2/∂ (ct)2]ψ=j0 sinψ +VGint cosψ, some simple exact solutions, including a breatherlike solution of topological charge zero. We label these solutions fluxon solutions since they carry through the two-dimensional Josephson junction an integral number of magnetic-flux quanta.
