Abstract
Antennas with narrow beams are necessary for a robust communications link as well as for modern radar applications. UWB antennas with narrow beams are large and bulky. Small size antennas are omnidirectional. Smart antenna techniques are applied to arrays of small size omnidirectional UWB antennas to give narrow beams and flat frequency response in the frequency range permitted by FCC ( 3-10 GHz).
