Abstract

This article describes Project OPT, a program of short-term treatment for dysfunctional families. Stemming from the national interest in permanent planning for children, the project was formed to work with intact families at home to lessen the possibility of removing the children to foster care. The author describes the treatment methods used as well as the meaures of the project's effectiveness.
