Abstract
Summary form only given. We use optical, stimulated Raman transitions to coherently split and transfer momentum to Bose-Einstein condensates of sodium atoms. With this technique, we have demonstrated a highly directional, quasi-continuous atom laser and four-wave mixing of matter-waves.
