Makna Film Independen di Kalangan Filmmaker Kota Bandung

The purpose of this study was to determine the motives of the filmmaker choose the path of the Independent, knowing awareness of independent films filmmaker, and know the meaning of independent films for the filmmaker in the city of Bandung. Based on the results of the study, the authors concluded that the motives of the filmmaker enters the world of independent film and choose the path divided by three, the initial motive when filmmaker known film, filmmaker motif is currently producing the film, and the dean motif that is the purpose and expectations of the informant as a filmmaker. An independent meaning in the end have the different meanings for their own self-informants and produce a variety of meanings, meanings, among others. Researchers put forward a suggestion to conduct a more in-depth study on the influence of motives and understanding of the filmmaker about the film and their role as a filmmaker. Better use of the term of short films, amateur films or alternative films on films in production in Indonesia outside the mainstream that developed in the community. It is more important to focus on is how the filmmakers and the public can together create an awareness of the need to work quality and create a climate of mutual support and is responsible for the development of Indonesian films.
