Abstract

Voltage Buffer should be inserted in the basic structure of Low-Dropout (LDO) Regulator to improve the stability and the basic Source-Follower Voltage Buffer output has problems that the pole in the low frequency is occurred. In this paper, we presented high stability LDO Regulator applied for Second-Stage Source-Follower Voltage Buffer using 0.35um CMOS processing. Proposed Voltage Buffer was designed to do stable operation by using the Second-Stage Source-Follower structure. Line Regulation of proposed LDO Regulator is 1.6mV on the input voltage variation of 2V, Load Regulation is 55.1uV/㎃ on the current variation 0㎃ to 100㎃. Proposed circuit can be applied to Power Management System of mobile devices.
