Review of Urban Traffic Congestion Formation and Diffusion Mechanism

With the social and economic development, urban traffic congestion is getting worse and has become a major issue for cities to hinder sustained and healthy development. In order to solve this problem, in this paper, based on the classification and characteristics analysis of traffic congestion, summarized and analyzed the current situation and development trend of urban traffic congestion at home and abroad in terms of the congestion evaluation, congestion diffusion and dispersion strategies, and congestion quantitative model. Finally, the paper put forward some key problems and suggestions urban traffic congestion research.
