Contribution to the knowledge of Carabodes palmifer Berlese, 1904 (Acari: Oribatida: Carabodidae).

Abstract

Carabodes palmifer Berlese, 1904 is redescribed. Leg setation and solenidial formula are described for the first time in this species and illustrations are given. The mite was found in a pine plantation in Mendata, Spain, in 1995, representing the first record of this species in the Iberian Peninsula.
