Abstract

The Copyright Guide for Research Students seeks to explain fundamental issues of copyright in higher degree research theses, including the use of third party copyright material. The Guide provides real life scenarios of when students will need to obtain permission to use third party copyright material, Model Third Party Copyright Request Letters for obtaining permissions from copyright owners and a Model Copyright Compliance Table for students to record and monitor copyright issues in relation to their thesis.
