Abstract : The purpose of the study is to extend the capabilities of the two-dimensional discrete ordinates method in order to provide accurate calculations for deep-penetration radiation transport problems. The basic method is generalized and improved, a complete technique for application is developed, and a comprehensive comparison with experiment is performed. (Author)
