Abstract
In this article, the phenomenon of the movement of a cathode spot of an electric vacuum arc tangential to the surface of the cathode magnetic field is considered. The consideration is conducted on the basis of the conceptions about the nonstationary cyclic character of the processes in a cathode spot. It is also considered the role of the particles, conversion electrons and the ions emitted from the cathode-side plasma on the cathode.
