The drift net fishery at Calicut is commercially \nimportant in that the quality fishes like \nseerfish and tuna are almost fully landed by this \ngear. The introduction of outboard engines and \nthe consequent fishing in more deeper waters \nhave resulted in noticeable changes in the overall \ncatch composition. In order to understand this; \nthe recent status of the fishery is studied based \non the data for the period 1988-'89 to 1991-'92 \nfrom Vellayil, Calicut.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
