Abstract
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) continues with its heavy rail expansion. The North Line Extension begins at the termination of the Dunwoody Station tail track and proceeds one mile northwest in subway to the Sandy Springs Station. From Sandy Springs Station the line extends one mile (1.6 km) north on the east side of Georgia State Highway 400 (GA 400) to the North Springs Station. The project is progressing on schedule towards the targeted December 2000 revenue service date.
