Abstract
Calculations are presented for the resonance frequency using the potential approach in the spectral domain with basis functions. A comparison between the calculated resonance frequencies which are determined using different models (transmission line model, cavity model, potential approach, and the immittance method) is carried out. The field pattern in the E-plane and H-plane for a rectangular microstrip antenna has been calculated using the potential approach and a comparison with that determined using immittance method is carried out.>
