Abstract
On the basis of LT50, values, amongst the different insecticidal concentrations used for seed treatment to protect the plants against Bagrada cruciferarum Kirk., monocrotnphos 2.5 per cent formulated from technical grade (T. G.) as also emulsifiable concentrate (E. C.) and phsophamidon 2.5 per cent (T. G. and E. C.) remained effective for more or less the same duration (39 days). In the case of mustard seeds treated with lindane 1.0 per cent (T.C. and E.C.) and carbosulfan 1.0 per cent soluble powder (S. P.), the protection was for a relatively short period (28 days).
