Abstract

The discrete wavelet transform (DWT) is often used to approximate the continuous wavelet transform (CWT) and wavelet series (WS). The accuracy of the initialized value of the discrete wavelet transform determines the result. In this letter, based on the sampling theory of wavelet subspace, the general formula of the initialization of the discrete wavelet transform algorithm is proposed.
