Abstract

A study was made of the effects of a single dose of external /sup 90/Sr + /sup 90/Y ..beta..-radiation on the lens, in experiments on 1252 rats of different ages. Determination was made of the minimum doses that induce cataracts. In young rats it constitutes 120 rad to the lens and in adult animals 208 rad.
