Abstract
Neonatal calf diarrhoea, being the leading cause of calf mortality in the dairy farm, is a major factor for economic loss to the livestock industry. During the present study the highest 60% prevalence of enteritis in neonatal calves based on birth-weight and it was in the group of 18 - below 20 kg and the lowest 38.46% was observed in group of 26 kg and above. The highest prevalence was 28.57% in the age group of 4 - 6 days and the lowest prevalence was 9.99% in the age group of 13 - 15 days. The higher prevalence was observed in male (45.56%) than in female (43.58%) in this study. The highest 67.85% prevalence was observed in rainy season and lowest 33.33% was observed in summer season.
