Abstract
A new type of 3-way power divider which has various output power ratios is presented. This power divider without any internal resistors has completely planar structure and can be easily realized using microstrip substrates. This divider has extremely excellent matching at each port and isolation. The 3-way divider which has been fabricated as an example shows 1:1:1, 4:1:1, 3:2:1 output power ratios. This divider also shows it can be used as 2-way divider with 1:2, 1:1 radios. All measured results are in good agreement with the predicted performances, and this structure can be extended to an N-way power divider.
