Abstract
The Gaori kite is one of typical ones with the Bangpae kite in Korea. The Gaori kite is popular to an ordinary people such as children, while the Bangpae kite is preferred by an expert. Because the Bangpae kite is considered as the traditional kite in Korea, all of research is focussed on the Bangpae kite. The present study computes the aerodynamic forces on Gaori kite by using CFD, examines the characteristics of flight, and proposes the standardization in both assembling and manipulating the Gaori kite.
