Neogene Bryozoa from Northern Japan

The present study on the Neogene Bryozoa of Northern Japan contributes to our knowledge on the geographic and chronologic distributions of the bryozoan fauna, the kind of assemblage according to geographic position in the geologic column of the area studied. From the younger Tertiary and Pleistocene deposits of Northern Japan a total of 123 species and subspecies of Bryozoa distributed among 69 genera, were discriminated and among them 31 species and 2 subspecies are described as new to science.
