Abstract

The characteristics of an anechoic chamber lined with a foamed ferrite that can be composed as fully and semi-anechoic is evaluated using optically driven equipment under test (EUT). Measurement of the radiated emission from the developed EUT are performed for both fully and semi-anechoic dispositions of the chamber. The difference between measured values of normalized site attenuation (NSA) for the semi-anechoic chamber and the fully anechoic chamber, as well as the radiated emission values are compared. As a result, a difference of about 3 dB for horizontal polarization and about 4 dB for vertical polarization are observed, thus indicating the necessity using optically driven EUT for evaluating the chamber.
