Abstract
An effective conservation of crop wild relatives (CWR) is essential for the continued availability and potential utilization of the valuable genetic resources in the wild gene pool. The in situ conservation of wild rice species in China, challenge of crop-wild introgression to in situ conservation of wild rice species, and transgene flow and its further impacts on in situ conservation of CWR are discussed.
