Abstract

The generalized Hamming weights introduced by Wei (1991) have been shown to be fundamental descriptive parameters of a linear block code. In this paper, we study generalized Hamming weights of general narrow-sense primitive BCH codes over F/sub q/, and determine the last few generalized Hamming weights of these codes.
