Abstract

This review presents practical guidelines on the use of antifoulants, corrosion inhibitors, neutralizers, and emulsion breakers to control process-side corrosion and fouling in petroleum refineries. It covers proven applications, treatment levels, and realistic service and monitoring requirements and identifies potential pitfalls.
