At the core of all of these tools is Microsoft’s flagship development product, Visual Studio. This chapter provides an introduction to Visual Studio 2010, the latest version. You will learn about some of the new features that are particularly helpful for developers building RIAs with Silverlight, and you will have an opportunity to create your first Silverlight application using Visual Studio 2010.
