Abstract
The reproductive performance of brood stock and their larva quality still restrict the extension of shrimp culture production and the improvement of benefit in brood stock production enterprises. The paper summarized and analyzed the effects of highly unsaturated fatty acids, cholesterol, phospholipids, neutral fat, vitamin E and carotenoids on improving reproductive performance of brood stock and their larva quality, and the reflection of these effects in their composition and level. The study on relevant nutrition requirement and analysis of brood stock and larva are still under progress. Therefore, more studies on analyzing appropriate nutrition level and composition requirement, which meet the need of brood stock breeding and larval development should be carried out to provide references for the selection and exploitation of some new, safe, effective, perfect, cheap and replaceable brood stock maturation diet.
