Abstract
The effect of the crystal structure on the inner bremsstrahlung spectrum accompanying ..beta..-decay of nuclei implanted in a single crystal is studied theoretically. It is shown that in the long-wavelength part of the spectrum, the effect of the crystal structure shows up as an increase in the yield of bremsstrahlung and in the appearance of characteristic breaks in the spectral curve. Calculations of the inner bremsstrahlung spectrum with the crystal field taken into account are performed for the case of ..beta..-decay of tritium.
