Abstract

We propose novel all optical binary-phase-shift-keyed (BPSK) modulation method. We fabricated the BPSK modulator using a MQW electroabsorption modulator with MMI couplers. It is demonstrated that a carrier signal is /spl pi/-phase shifted as a baseband signal is applied.
