Abstract

The decay of heavy paraquarkonium into three gluons is studied. The differential probability for this decay is found in the tree approximation and the gluon angular and energy distributions are studied. Hard-gluon production at small emission angles is predicted to dominate in the three-gluon decay of heavy paraquarkonium. The possibility of observing this effect in three-jet decays of heavy quarkonia is studied.
