Study on the flora of Taikuanhe Nature Reserve in Shanxi.

Taikuanhe Natural Reserve is located in the central of Zhongtiao Mountain,Shanxi.In the reserve,there are 887 vascular species belonging to 464 genera and 119 families.Seed plants are 870 species belonging to 455 genera and 112 families,of which 10 families have more than 10 genera each,and totally include 215 genera and 411 species;of the families,48 families only have 1 genus each,and 29 families only have 1 genus and 1 species each.More 1-species genera(277) are distributed in the reserve.The family distribution types are mainly composed of the cosmopolitan(36.61%),the pantropic(29.48%) and the north temperate(21.43%) types.The genus and species distribution types are dominated with temperate elements,of which the temperate genera are as many as 262 accounting for 57.58% of the total numbers of the reserve,and the temperate species(without the species endemic to China) are 482 accounting for 55.4% of the total.The flora shows the characteristics of rich species,ancient origin,outstanding traits of temperate and transition,and having rich rare and endangered plants.
