In vitro culture of the Krebs ascites carcinoma and the Ehrlich ascites carcinoma of mice.

Abstract

Summary Cells of the Krebs ascites carcinoma and of the Ehrlich ascites carcinoma of mice have been established in cultures some of which are still thriving after 8 months. Chicken embryo extract was found to be toxic for the cells of those tumors. Cultures from single cells of the Krebs ascites carcinoma and of the Ehrlich ascites carcinoma have been established.
