Procedure WPS-109-ASME-2 is qualified under Section IX of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code for semiautomatic gas metal arc welding of carbon steel (P-1-1), in thickness range 0.187 to 2.0 inch; filler metal is ER70S-3 (F-6, A-1); shielding gas is 95-5 argon-oxygen.
