Abstract

A new DOA estimation and mutual coupling self-calibration algorithm for multiple subarrays is proposed. By using the character of the mutual coupling matrix, the proposed method, using a one-dimensional spectral search, can provide a favorable estimation of the DOAs and the mutual coupling coefficients. Simulation results illustrate that the new algorithm possesses a better performance and can be applicable to a broad class of multiple subarray configurations.
