Abstract

The community structure of insect communities in sweet-soul pomegranate orchard was surveyed by using the Malaise trap in pomegranate orchard in Jianshui county,Yunnan province,China. Results showed that, there were 1708 insects belonging to 12 orders and 75 families of insect captured in the Malaise trap from May,2007 to the September,2008.The richness and Shannon-Wiener index and Evenness index was 50.25,5.08,0.86,respectively.Among of them, there were 79 species of 300 individuals were parasitoid, there were 46 species of 162 individuals of predator, and 193 species of 959 individuals of pest insects of pomegranates. The species richness was 27.96,20.21,9.89 for pest insects, natural enemies and neutral insects, respectively, and the Shannon-Wiener index was 4.23,4.36,3.26,respectively.The abundance of the natural enemies was complementary with the pests and neutral insects in the pomegranate orchard.
