Abstract
Based on the analysis of three trends of substituting grass for trees, transplanting big trees and constructing artistic environment in cultivating urban forest and green space currently, this paper describes the ecological principles that should be followed in cultivating urban forest and green space system. Furthermore, the status quo of major research dircetion in urban forest and green space system in the future are discussed.
