Effect of organic manuring on productivity and economics of summer mungbean (Vigna radiata var. radiata)

Abstract
The present experiment was conducted during summer season (2005) on sandy loam soil of central U.P. under irrigated conditions on mungbean under rice-wheat cropping system, it was found that application of DAP improved the growth, yield attributes and yield of summer mungbean. It enhanced grain yield by 402 kg/ha (79.60 %) than unfertilized plot. Both the organic manures and biofertilizer proved to be better over untreated plot in respect of the growth, yield attributes and yield of mungbean. FYM increased the grain yield by 230 kg/ha (45.54 %), vermicompost by 314 kg/ha (62.18 %) and Rhizobium culture by 83 kg/ha (16.43 %) separately. The combination of 100 kg DAP + vermicompost 2 t/ha + inoculation of Rhizobium culture proved to be the best as it gave 1325 kg/ ha grain yield and 18,888 `/ha net profit followed by use of DAP 100 kg + FYM 5 t/ha+ inoculation of Rhizobium culture (1252 kg/ha grain yield and 18,480 `/ha net profit).
