Abstract
The content and distribution of protein, vitamin C and soluble sugar in eggplant fruit of Xi’an Luqie were studied with wild eggplant Tuolubamu and tomato Maofen 802 as rootstocks. The results showed that the contents of protein and vitamin C in the fruits of grafted plants were significantly higher than those of control at green maturity, commercial maturity and physiological maturity stages. The distribution of protein, vitamin C and soluble sugar were similar in the fruit of grafted and control plants.
