Abstract
In this paper a general cost function for adaptive multi-microphone noise reduction is proposed. From this cost func-tion, many existing adaptive multi-microphone noise reduction techniques can be derived, such as linearly constrained minimum variance (LCMV) beamforming, transfer-function LCMV, soft-constrained beamforming and speech-distortion weighted multi-channel Wiener filtering as well as combined approaches. 1.
