Abstract

The study of emotion in sport and exercise - historical, definitional, and conceptual perspectives cognitive-motivational-relational theory of emotion individual zones of optimal functioning (IZOF) model -emotion-performance relationships in sport competitive anxiety anger, aggressive behaviour and athletic performance joy, fun and flow state in sport successful and poor performance and emotions overtraining in athletes burnout in athletes and coaches maladaptive fatigue syndrome and emotions in sport the injured athlete exercise, emotions, and mental health.
