Abstract

The design and performance of a 17-liter bubble chamber using freon at room temperature and 38 atm. pressure are described. The chamber operates with an accelerator and can be applied to the observation of cosmic radiation particle tracks. A mixture of freon-12 and freon-13 with a density of 1.2 is used as the working fluid. (tr-auth)
