Abstract
To study the effect of Newcastle disease virus(NDV) infection on tissue anti-oxidation functions,21-day-old chicken were experimentally infected with virulent NDV LD isolate, and tissue from brains, hearts, lungs, spleens, and bursa of fabricius were detected for SOD and MDA by spectro-photometry at 1,2,3,4 and 5 days post-infection(DPI),respectively.The results showed that the SOD activity of the tissues from the infection group was significantly lower than that of the control group on 2 DPI(p0.05);while MDA amounts of the infection group was significantly higher than that of the control group on 3 DPI(p 0.05).
