Abstract
Ten patients, 4 of whom were hypoxemic in the resting state, had serial arterial blood gas determinations during flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy. In no case was supplemental oxygen given. A real but insignificant decrease in arterial oxygen tension was demonstrated in 6 of the 10 patients.
