Abstract
In order to significantly improve the beam quality for wide pump stripes, we have fabricated and tested the first mid-IR angled-grating distributed feedback (a-DFB) lasers. A schematic of the /spl alpha/-DFB geometry is shown alongside the conventional Fabry-Perot configuration. Both the diffraction grating and the gain stripe are tilted at an angle (chosen to be 16") with respect to the facet normals.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
