Abstract

A study to identify and assess the potential industrial applications of the direct-contact waste heat recuperator (DCWHR) for the 353 to 672 K temperature range has been completed. The DCWHR increases the heat transfer area per unit volume over typical heat exchangers, and is intended for latent heat recovery from waste streams. 16 refs.
