The 1985 Irrigation and Drainage Division Specialty Conference held in San Antonio, Texas on July 17-19, 1985 covered major topics on watershed management and water conveyance, drainage system maintenance, current research and research planning, transmission losses in channels, on-farm irrigation management, water rights interaction, institutional questions on surface water management, agricultural runoff effects on water quality in lakes and reservoirs, management of irrigation and drainage projects, weather modification in the south, effects of agricultural drainage on surface water quality, drainage system maintenance, project formulation and developments, ground water management problems and solutions in the southwest, and irrigation water requirements.
